Creslane Elementary Drop In Day

September 4, 3:30-5:30PM

Creswell Elementary

Mike will discuss the possibility of setting up a table for Scout recruiting when kids come for Drop In Day at the Creswell elementary school.

  • Mike to meet with school principal to discuss possibility
  • We will need scouts in uniform to represent the Pack there with Mike

First Meeting - Joining day

September 12, 6-7PM

Holt Park

Fun night of games with pop bottle rockets, food.

  • We will need to arrive by 5:30PM to setup for the 6PM start.
  • Mike to bring rocket supplies - could use some plastic pop bottles, 1L, 2L
  • Food barbeque picnic style
    • Terry will bring Burnadette's punch
    • Hot Dogs
    • Watermellon
    • Beans (BBQ Beans - at least one no pork option)
    • Joe/Mike will bring barbeques

September 19 Parent Meeting

Bring more focus, agenda

  • Discuss meeting structure
    • Mike to bring Meeting book
    • Fun intro, opening, Teaching session, Game time, closing
    • Ideal to rotate adult leader running the meeting so it all doesn't fall on one person
    • Likely arrangement of past 2 years, Pack has meetings with 2 breakout groups for teaching sessions
  • Identify parent Leaders for renewal
    • will need cubmaster and den leaders identified, minimum required
    • Must have at least 1 female leader, required
  • Identify new meeting location
    • Grange is good but BSA Troop needs the space too, comes in at 6:50ish, ideally we'd have more time when needed
    • Mike suggested Christian Fellowship as possibility
  • Identify Christmas Tree provider
    • Kintight's from last year was wonderful
      • Had trees ready for us to pickup, no work in field
      • Provided trees for free
    • Offer Scout service project to Tree provider
    • Terry can supply hot cocoa supplies and equipment for free to sell if we would like to add to Christmas Tree sales this year
  • Field Trips for the year
    Consider quaterly local field trip and one big annual trip
